My work is very eclectic - having evolved over almost 3 decades.

There are a number of things you can do to properly prepare for a massage and to enhance the beneficial aftereffects, including:

  • Be well hydrated for your massage

  • Try not to plan a post-massage workout (same day)

  • Don’t have a heavy meal closer than 3 hours pre-massage


  • Pre-race: 7 days out to 48 hours out

  • Post-race/long run/hard effort: Within 24-48 hours if possible

  • During training cycles: Once a month for at least 30 min is really helpful


  • Concentrated Epsom Salt soaks are great post massage therapy. 3-4 cups of epsom salts in moderately hot water for 20 minutes.
